Valgeir the musician has a deeply rooted place within Iceland's thrieving music and culture scene. A celebrated composer / lyricist / performer he has been a member of highly popular bands, written multile film scores, including projects for PBS and Discovery Channel in the US.  worked in TV and Radio and various other projects.

A true pioneer, Ásta has never let titles get in the way of what work she chooses. Love established  Bakkastofa in Eyrarbakki where her 19th century ancestors lived and grew up. The family stories she heard from a young age give her give her a deep  insight into the village's history and culture.

Ásta recently published the highly acclaimed historical novel "What Dwells in Silence", based on her old dramatic family stories.
