The Bakkastofa cultural center in Eyrarbakki is run by the family and their children 
Ásta Kristrún and Valgeir who are the sponsors.
They decided  to create a platform for their parents' artistic creation as well as a channel
for them to disseminate interesting results to both domestic and foreign visitors.
