Ásta Kristrún Ragnarsdóttir is a direct descendant of the landowners who are named after Húsið and made the park famous in the upper part of the 19th century.

With stories of her ancestors and fathers, Ásta paints pictures of life in a country that is shaking off the old shackles of poverty and oppression and is aiming for a new and better time.

Love preserves family treasures  at his home on the second floor of Bakkastofa  related to the protagonists of her narratives. The stories are widespread, touching on all corners of the country and on both sides of the Atlantic.

In Eyrarbakki, the people connected to the historic "House", which now houses the Árnesingar Regional Museum, of course receive special attention.

Duration 45 - 50 minutes

It is appropriate to visit the House accompanied by the descendants of the people who made their garden on Bakkan famous in the upper part of the 19th century.

The stories are hidden in every corner of the unique and beautiful museum, which is still a unique place in the old village, which is one of the most beautiful in Iceland.

This is a perfect opportunity to face the past and listen to the centuries in the 250-year-old house.
