A Cold War Reykjavík child is a label that has produced a great many productive artists that have made their mark on the Icelandic Cuture and Art scene.
Reykjavík was a dynamic place to grow up at the time and the post-war era was greatly influenced by the presence of an American Naval Base in the neighboring town of Keflavík.

The Programs
The Christmas and newyears programs are organized in cooperation with individual groups. Different acts can suit different groups and they can be arranged to suit each one. Culture and cuisine in the spirit of old Christmas is however always the main attraction.
Bakkastofa is always open to assist guests with bus travel and sleeping accommodations at a reasonable price.
